O filme começa e acaba com esta referência, e percorre-a exaustivamente ao longo da história: Um homem, cujas prioridades na vida são postas em causa, por um rapaz.

Hugh Grant igual a si mesmo e um pequeno bom actor em contracenas com algum humor e de alguma intensidade emocional.

A moral da história: independentemente de todos os bens materiais,
de uma vida confortável, ninguém é feliz sozinho.
E nove anos depois do filme ter estreado, o mesmo Jon Bon Jovi
